Purpose:

We have biblical authority and a biblical mandate to use music to reach the believer and non-believer alike. We must be willing to become all things to all people, without compromising the Word or becoming stumbling blocks, in order that we might win souls for the Kingdom. Therefore, our ultimate purpose and responsibility is to glorify God and to lift the name of Jesus Christ.

Worship Service:

The primary focus and purpose of our worship services is to worship God, exalt the name of Jesus Christ, and enter into the presence of the Holy Spirit. This, in turn, will glorify God, while encouraging those present to either draw closer to the Savior, or to seek Jesus as their Savior and Lord. Music is a vital part of each of our worship services.

Celebration Choir:

The Celebration Choir ministers each Sunday in the 11:00 am Sunday worship service, as well as through seasonal programs and special event services. We invite new members at any time throughout the year. Rehearsals are each Thursday evening, 7:00–9:00 pm.

Special/Instrumental Music:

There are various opportunities to assist in leading in worship through vocal solo, duet, ensemble, and instrumental ministry. This selected list is compiled by the Minister of Music on a quarterly basis.

Seasonal:

Our Easter and Christmas programs are very special times at HBC. Each program is open to everyone. They enable each person present a focused opportunity to experience the love, mercy, and compassion of Jesus Christ through music and drama.
