We strive to attain the spiritual and
practical excellence of 2 Chronicles 5,
“When
the priests came forth from the holy place (for all the priests who
were present had sanctified themselves, without regard to
divisions), and all the Levitical singers, Asaph, Heman, Jeduthun,
and their sons and kinsmen, clothed in fine linen, with cymbals,
harps and lyres, standing east of the altar, and with them on
hundred and twenty priests blowing trumpets in unison when the
trumpeters and the singers were to make themselves heard with one
voice to praise and to glorify the Lord, and when they lifted up
their voice accompanied by trumpets and cymbals and instruments of
music, and when they praised the Lord saying, ‘He indeed is good for
His lovingkindness is everlasting,’ then the house, the house of the
Lord, was filled with a cloud, so that the priests could not stand
to minister because of the cloud, for the glory of the Lord filled
the house of God.”

the comprehensive nature of Psalm 150,
“Praise
the Lord! Praise God in His sanctuary; praise Him in His mighty
expanse. Praise Him for His mighty deeds; praise Him according to
His excellent greatness. Praise Him with trumpet sound; praise Him
with harp and lyre. Praise Him with timbrel and dancing; praise Him
with stringed instruments and pipe. Praise Him with loud cymbals;
praise Him with resounding cymbals. Let everything that has breath
praise the Lord. Praise the Lord!” Psalm 150
and the ministry application of the
Apostle Paul in 1 Corinthians 9:
For if I
preach the gospel, I have nothing to boast of, for I am under
compulsion; for woe is me if I do not preach the gospel. For though
I am free from all men, I have made myself a slave to all, so that I
may win more. To the Jews I became as a Jew, so that I might win
Jews; to those who are under the Law, as under the Law though not
being myself under the Law, so that I might win those who are under
the Law; to those who are without law, as without law, though not
being without the law of God but under the law of Christ, so that I
might win those who are without law, to the weak I became weak, that
I might win the weak; I have become all things to all men, so that I
may by all means save some. I do all things for the sake of the
gospel, so that I may become a fellow partaker of it.’

Pastor Brian’s Philosophy of Music
Ministry:
We have
biblical authority and a biblical mandate to use music to reach the
believer and non-believer alike. We must be willing to become all
things to all people, without compromising the Word or becoming
stumbling blocks, in order that we might win souls for the Kingdom.
Therefore, our ultimate purpose and responsibility is to glorify God
and to lift the name of Jesus Christ.
